Résumé :
Model structures have proven to be a powerful framework to do homotopy theory in a variety of contexts. It is often hard to verify by hand that given data does define a model structure, which has resulted in different strategies to build model structures or prove their existence. In this talk, we present a new strategy that focuses on knowing the desired cofibrations and desired fibrant objects together with classes of weak equivalences and fibrations between these. If time allow, we will present different examples of this, especially in the category of double categories and double functors. This is based on joint work with Léonard Guetta, Lyne Moser, and Maru Sarazola.
