For a smooth projective holomorphic family of compact complex
manifolds over the open unit 1-disk, Y.-T. Siu proved that every
plurigenus of the fiber is independent of the fiber. It is conjectured
that the same holds for compact Kähler families. In this talk, we will
explain some partial results for this conjecture. It is a joint work
with Mihai Paun.
