In this talk, I’ll present results from experimental, numerical and theoretical investigations

of water waves. The concentration will be on traveling wave patterns (doubly periodic

solutions), one-dimensional and two-dimensional surface standing wave (triply periodic solu-

tions).The presentation consists pictures and films from experiments, numerical calculations

from the full PDE (Boussinesq systems), and theoretical studies on the existence of these solutions.
