Daniel Ueltschi (Univ. Warwick) : Probabilistic approaches to quantum lattice systems

I will review several probabilistic descriptions of quantum spin and quantum bosonic systems on lattices. They are relevant to the study of the electronic properties of condensed matter. The models involve interacting random variables and loop ensembles with spatial structure. There are many questions and some answers. I will also discuss recent results about geometric correlation inequalities.
