Résumé :

Haagerup-Izumi fusion categories are among the best-known examples of exotic fusion categories. Their fusion rules are simple, but constructing categories realizing them has been a difficult problem, and only few examples were previously known. In joint work with Terry Gannon and Andrew Schopieray, we construct a Haagerup-Izumi category associated with Z/N for every odd N. The construction uses special values of the Barnes double-sine function to produce explicit solutions to the defining equations. I will explain the main ideas behind the construction. I will also discuss their Drinfeld centers, which are modular tensor categories, and some natural questions about the associated Turaev-Viro TQFTs.
