Rational homology cobordisms of lens spaces (Paolo Aceto)

Résumé :

We will give a brief introduction to the integral and rational homology cobordism groups of 3-manifolds. Then, focusing on lens spaces, we will explore various results via lattice theoretic arguments which rely on Donaldson’s diagonalization theorem. We will also explore consequences regarding the problem of embedding 3-manifolds in various 4-manifolds.
