A study on the dynamics of the solutions of an Electron-Ion Plasma System KGS - Marilena Poulou (Athènes)
Séminaire « Analyse numérique et équations aux dérivées partielles »
M2 - Salle de Réunion
Let us consider the Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger system
i\psi_t + \mu\psi_{xx} + i\alpha\psi = \phi\si,
\phi_{tt} - \phi_{xx} + \phi - \lambda\phi_t = L\phi
This system models the nonlinear interaction between high frequency electron waves and low frequency ion plasma waves in a homogeneous magnetic field. Such systems arise in the UHH plasma heating technique. The coupling of the two fields is achieved through the (non-homogeneous) polarization drift and the induced current takes part in the collision process of the energy exchange. In the proposed talk the
Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger type system which is considered has L(ψ) = -Re (ψ_{x_1}).
