Titre : An introduction to quantum chaos from an operator theoretic point of view
Résumé : Chaotic dynamical systems emerge in models that have several degrees of freedom such as heavy atoms, weather systems and epidemic evolutions. On the other hand, since the advent of quantum mechanics, which explains physical phenomena at small scales, there has been growing interest to establish a relationship between chaos in classical mechanics and in quantum mechanics. Mathematically a successful way to formalise this link has been to study the dynamics of certain operator semigroups and how the underlying classical chaos connects to it. In this talk I will give an accessible introduction to this field, where it is not necessary to have previous knowledge of the concepts used, and discuss some of the recent advances such as our work with C. Gilmore (Lille), E. Le Masson (Cergy) and J. Thomas (Durham).
