Alexander Zass (WIAS Berlin) : Long-time behaviour for birth-and-death dynamics in the continuum
Séminaire « Probabilités et Statistique »
Réunion M2
Gibbs measures are often thought of as the equilibrium measures of thermodynamical systems, but this statement is not universally proven. While many detailed results on the dynamics of lattice systems exist, very little is known about the dynamical aspects of Gibbs point processes, in particular regarding out-of-equilibrium dynamics and convergence. In this talk, I will present a model for birth-and-death dynamics in the continuum for which we were able to confirm the intuition that the free energy is non-increasing in time and use this to investigate the long-time behaviour of the system. This is joint work with B. Jahnel, J. Köppl, and Y. Steenbeck.
